From a Child’s Sketch to the 559 Logo: How AI Brings Ideas to Life
I keep everything.
When my son David was about six years old, I took him to work with me one day. I gave him markers and paper to keep him busy while I worked in my cubicle. A little while later, he handed me this drawing.
“Who is this?” I asked.
“It’s you!” he said.
He had been watching me work. My job was primarily designing and coding. I laughed at how well he captured me in that moment. Questions. Ideas. Trying and retrying and adjusting.
Years later, when he was thinking about his own future after college, I gave the drawing back to him. The question marks? Those were mine. But the light bulb and exclamation points—that sense of possibility—were all his.
How That Sketch Became My Business Logo
Fast forward to today: that same childhood sketch became the inspiration for the 559 Consulting logo.
Instead of hiring a traditional design firm, I used AI tools to transform the drawing into a professional logo. I guided the AI with prompts, layered in some of my brand story, and let the technology do the heavy lifting.
The result? A logo that doesn’t just represent my business—it represents a personal story, a piece of family history, and the power of creativity amplified by AI.
